The Short Answer
miraDry uses precisely targeted microwave energy to eliminate the sweat and odor glands in the underarm. Because those glands do not regenerate, the reduction is permanent. Your underarms hold only about two percent of the body's sweat glands, so treating them does not affect your ability to cool down.

Results
Immediate and permanent
miraDry uses precisely targeted microwave energy to eliminate the sweat and odor glands in the underarm. Because those glands do not regenerate, the reduction is permanent.
Your underarms hold only about two percent of the body's sweat glands, so removing them there does not affect your ability to cool down. Most clients need just one treatment, with some choosing a second for maximum reduction.
Sweat and odor glands do not grow back, so the reduction lasts.
Most clients stop needing daily antiperspirant entirely.
A single visit under local anesthetic, and you return to your day.
Unlike Botox for sweating, which is repeated every few months, miraDry is a one-time treatment for most clients.
It targets odor glands as well as sweat glands, which antiperspirants only mask.
Energy is delivered through the skin, so there is no incision and no scar.
Myth
“Blocking underarm sweat is unhealthy or dangerous.”

Fact
Your underarms contain roughly two percent of your body's sweat glands. Eliminating them there does not impair thermoregulation, and clinical follow-up has not shown compensatory sweating elsewhere as a meaningful problem.
Myth
“Botox for sweating is basically the same thing.”
Hover for the fact
Fact
Botox for hyperhidrosis works well but wears off in four to six months, so it becomes an ongoing expense. miraDry destroys the glands, so most clients are done after one treatment.
Myth
“I'll be back to normal the next day.”

Fact
This is a real procedure. Expect underarm swelling, firmness and tenderness for several days, sometimes a couple of weeks, and occasionally temporary numbness. Sweat reduction is immediate, but recovery deserves planning.

miraDry is a medical procedure that depends on thorough local anesthetic and disciplined, overlapping template placement. Rushing either step is what produces uneven results and a rough recovery.
We take the time to numb properly and treat methodically, and we follow up with you afterward. Every plan is composed for your anatomy and goals, never templated, and never rushed.
We confirm you are a candidate, map your underarm area, and answer questions about the procedure and recovery.
About an hour. We numb the underarms thoroughly with local anesthetic, then deliver energy in an overlapping pattern.
Immediate sweat reduction, with swelling and tenderness for a few days to a couple of weeks. Results are permanent.

{{ f.a }}
Day of treatment
Underarms are numbed thoroughly with local anesthetic, then treated. Sweat reduction is immediate. Ice and over-the-counter anti-inflammatories help afterward.
Days 1 to 7
Swelling, firmness and tenderness are expected. Avoid strenuous exercise and heavy arm use for several days, and keep icing.
Weeks 2 to 4
Swelling resolves. Small firm nodules under the skin are common and settle on their own. Temporary numbness may persist and resolves over weeks.
Beyond one month
Results are permanent. Some clients schedule a second session about three months later for maximum reduction.
