Myth
“Bellafill is permanent, so mistakes can't be fixed.”

Fact
The PMMA scaffold is not absorbed, which is exactly why we treat conservatively and layer across sessions rather than chasing a full correction in one visit. Undertreating and reassessing is the correct protocol, not a limitation.
Myth
“The skin test is a formality I can skip.”
Hover for the fact
Fact
It is required, and it matters. Bellafill contains bovine collagen, and roughly a small percentage of people have a sensitivity to it. The test is placed on the forearm and read at four weeks before any facial treatment.
Myth
“Filler is the only way to treat acne scars.”

Fact
Bellafill lifts distensible rolling scars beautifully, but sharp boxcar and icepick scars respond better to microneedling, CO₂ or subcision. Most scarred faces need a combination, and we will map which scar types you actually have.
The Bellafill Standard
“Bellafill requires a skin test and a conservative, layered approach.”

Bellafill requires a skin test and a conservative, layered approach. We take that protocol seriously and never over-correct in a single visit.
For acne scarring in particular, we assess whether Bellafill alone or a combination with microneedling or laser will give you the best surface. Every plan is composed for your anatomy and goals, never templated, and never rushed.
We review your history, perform the required skin test, and confirm Bellafill is appropriate for your correction.
