The Short Answer
SkinPen microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin, small enough to heal within days but significant enough to trigger real collagen and elastin production. It improves texture, pore size, fine lines and acne scarring on all skin tones, and works best as a series of three to six sessions.

Session Time

SkinPen microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. That injury is small enough to heal quickly but significant enough to trigger real collagen and elastin production.
It improves texture, pore size, fine lines and acne scarring on all skin tones, with a series of three to six treatments giving the most complete result.
Smooths rough texture and fine lines.
Softens the appearance of acne and surgical scars.
Boosts your skin's own renewal process.
Because microneedling is mechanical rather than light-based, it carries no risk of melanin-related complications.
The result is your own new collagen and elastin, which continues improving for months after the series.
Micro-channels dramatically increase absorption of the serums applied during and after treatment.
Myth
“At-home derma rollers do the same thing.”
Hover for the fact
Fact
They do not. Home rollers use fixed, quickly dulled needles at superficial depths, tearing rather than puncturing, and they cannot be sterilized properly. SkinPen uses sterile single-use cartridges at medical depths with vertical stamping motion. Different mechanism, different result, and the home version carries a real infection risk.
Myth
“Microneedling is only for acne scars.”
Hover for the fact
Fact
Scarring is where it shines, but the same collagen response improves crepey texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, stretch marks and dull tone. It is one of the most versatile treatments we offer.
Myth
“One session will fix my scarring.”
Hover for the fact
Fact
Collagen remodeling is cumulative. Meaningful scar improvement takes three to six sessions spaced a month apart, and deeper scars often need laser or subcision alongside it.

Questions

First 24 hours
Skin looks and feels like a moderate sunburn: pink, warm and tight. Use only the post-care products we provide, and no makeup.
Days 2 to 3
Redness fades to a flush. Mild flaking or dryness is normal, and mineral makeup is fine from day two.
Week 1
Skin looks brighter and smoother. This is surface renewal; the collagen work is just beginning.
Weeks 4 to 12
Collagen builds with each session. Texture and scarring improve progressively, and results continue for up to six months after your final treatment.
